Director General of LTD “Beregozashchita” Eduard Kushu and his deputies Dmitriy Natsvin and Svetlana Fedorova participated in the XXVth international coastal conference “Coastal zone – future vision” that took place in Sochi from 13th to 17th October. Kushu made a report on “General principals of public administration under designing, engineering, building and operation of coast-protection constructions with account of their characteristics.
One of the major report’s conclusions is aimed at regulation of legal points of Russian Federation’s coastal zone. This zone is known to have a number of complex interrelated questions of water- and land-use, for example, in terms of designing, building and operating of hydroengineering constructions. In order to exclude juridical collisions, Kushu suggested addressing to the Federal Act of marine coastal areas of Russia, the project of which was worked out and actively discussed more than 10 years ago. According Kushu, coastal area should get a special legal status with due regard to its natural specifics. The Act should terminate the juridical bewilderment that currently takes place in the area .
Various project and engineering solutions of marine coast-protection constructions were discussed at the conference. Besides, the prospects of global realization of Sochi’s Sea Front reconstruction were considered. Along with LTD “Beregozashchita”, architects, scientists and designers from Sochi took part in the project development.
